Re: Runtime errors close debug output window

@Axeman, your code doesn't close the Debug Output window for me with 5.73 LTS (x86 or 64bit). Have you got the preference "Debugger -> Kill program after an error" turned on by mistake? @Rinzwind: Freak said closing the Debug Output with "Kill" is by design -> https://www.purebas...

Pretty sure they'll refund you - they always side with the buyer.

Re: Buyer Beware

J. Baker, can you cancel the subscription and get a refund from your credit card based on misleading information from the seller? I would try that. It's called a chargeback, and the more chargebacks that a company receives, the less likely their bank will allow them to do business with them. Hit the...

Re: TreeGadget node being detected

Still doesn't work, Rashad. I double-click the very first item ("Normal Item 0"), and get a debug output of 0. But then if I "accidentally" double-click the tree lines next to "Normal Item 3", the debug output shows 18, even though item 0 is still selected/highlighted. ...

Re: TreeGadget node being detected

Thanks mk-soft, I think this is the answer (ie. I don't get false double-clicks with it).

Re: TreeGadget collapse nodes

Why should the other nodes close, it is OS specific normal that the other nodes remain open. Nothing is changed here. The whole point of this topic is to auto-close the others when one is open: I am trying to only have one node open at any one time. So if you select Node 0 it expands then if you se...

Re: TreeGadget collapse nodes

mk-soft, in your code, if the user double-clicks a node name (instead of the expand/collapse button next to it), then the other open nodes don't close.

Re: TreeGadget node being detected

Nope, doesn't work, Rashad. Thanks for trying. I run the code, then double-click on the very first item ("Normal Item 0"). I get a debug output of 0 - great! But then if I move the mouse a little lower and double-click just to the left of the second "Normal Item 0", I get a debug...

Re: Extract Icon from Dll/exe at non standard size(WINDOWS ONLY)

Thanks Paul, I'll ditch that idea then. Trying to get a generic Windows icon from a system file, but that's proving to be difficult. Can't include one with my app because it's copyrighted to Microsoft, so extracting it during runtime from somewhere was my plan.

Re: Extract Icon from Dll/exe at non standard size(WINDOWS ONLY)

Can someone with Windows 7 please run the below code and confirm if you get the same icon as in my screenshot? Also, if your icon is different, could you please post a screenshot so I can see what it is. Thanks! https://i.imgur.com/cXisoev.png Prototype.i Proto_SHDefExtractIcon(pszIconFile.s,iIndex....

Re: TreeGadget node being detected

I appreciate all the replies, and I tried them all carefully but none of them work... I still want to get events for items double-clicked, but not when any node expand/collapse button is double-clicked. All the above replies fail with this requirement, ie. I get the unwanted debug output for any nod...

TreeGadget node being detected

I have a TreeGadget with several nodes... and I only want to know when an item is double-clicked, and not when a node is double-clicked. If you run the below and double-click any node button (the "+/-" square), you get the debug message. How can I avoid that? Thanks. If OpenWindow(0, 0, 0,...

Re: IDE and Icon bar on 4K monitor

And also the community support to this Open Source project is close to zero. I'd absolutely LOVE to help with the IDE (and have bucketloads of free time to do it!), but I have no idea how to make edits to it; and when I asked for specific help, none was given (https://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewt...

blueznl wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 3:05 pmTry RunProgram("Notepad.exe"). It'll work.
Yes, because that's an exe in the default file path of Windows (the "%PATH%" environment variable). Press Win+R, type "notepad.exe" and hit Enter. It'll also work, because it's in %PATH%.
