It's not because we don't use the same stringbase libraires for ASM and C (you can look in Compiler/ dir there is 4 extra versions), and some libraries like Math, Debugger are compiled differently for the C backend. So It's not just the generated .obj but also libraries which are changed, which can ...

Startgate is right here, if the code is wrong there is nothing to fix. The fact it worked by luck before is not relevant as a lot of can be changed internally in our libraries. An address on x64 requiers a .i (or better, use a pointer which is more explicit).

Alpha 4 is ready to test ! We fixed almost all reported bugs (except one), so we hope we are closer to a beta release. Next step is adding DLL support and building the C compiler on Linux and OS X. Don't hesitate to give it a try, and report any differences between the ASM and C backend.

It does crash the IDE ? Is it the same in 5.73 version ? We need a full code to reproduce it or we won't be able to fix it.

New alpha 4 will have a better error message in the IDE, so may be it will help to locate the issue.
