Re: Very simple DB viewer

Code updated for 5.20+ Hi, Maybe works in Linux, too (set #Windows to 0 and try). I hope you find it useful. I hope someone finds this useful. Bye, Code is in the original - TOP - post. Does this work for anyone else? All I get is a small window with a "connect" button. Maybe things have ...

Re: 800 lines

but why had only Gary once managed to write a book on the matter? ...because, by the time your book is completed, PB has moved to a new version and your book is out of date. This is one of the issues hit by Krylar when resurrecting his book Programming 2D Scrolling Games Book - Free Now Maybe the b...

Re: Write a changelog for each beta

While it's always nice to have more documentation(?), they do mark the bugs as [DONE].

I would rather have them spend their limited time fixing more bugs than re-telling us about those they've fixed. ;)

Re: Event status message

Essentially, yes. But I was hoping to accomplish it without the need to modify hundreds of procedures. Some way to set the messages in the appropriate routines, but then clear them by somehow recognizing that a PB event had been processed and if it had not set a message, to clear the status message....

Event status message

I have a rather large program which processes events for hundreds of different menus, gadgets, conditions etc. using PB_Event processing and a windows callback. I want to add a status message to the window under certain conditions. I don't want it to be a messagerequester, just a status text field o...

For all practical purposes, an aes encrypted file is unhackable.

Once again netmaestro, one of your fine contributions provides a perfect solution.

I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but just now had the need for something like this.

Re: Sprite code messes with my browser

Wow. Crazy things happened. Disregard details - too confusing to report and afraid to try again :) Browser on 2nd screen minimized. This browser and PB editor resized - both were resized to very small. Icons flickering. Not sure what else may have happened. Poltergeist present. Note to self. Watch o...

Re: [PBv5.30b2] Missing #PB_Event_SizeWindow Event On Startu

I think it's not polite to qualify as stupid the purebasic team decision about the size event. Maybe "Ill advised"? As was pointed out by Fred, many users believe that this event should not occur when opening a window. I believe it was a "vocal few" not "many". I agree...
