Re: EditorGadget with thread not show cursor

Code: Select all

SetActiveGadget(1) ; <====== This SetActiveGadget not works in the THREAD
This is the general rule: Everything that is related to the GUI should be done in the main code, but not in a thread.

Re: Official Linux distribution for PureBasic

So, then only 2.85% are using an Intel based 32 Bit version and 95.88% are using an Intel based 64 Bit version. That's correct. But 32 bit versions are the second largest fraction. Would you propose that Linux should drop ARM support which is only 0.86% for aarch64 and even all ARM architectures co...

Re: Constant for DPI compatible mode?

Is there a variable or method to find out if the compiler is using DPI compatible mode for Windows?

Re: Focus rectangle initially not shown (modern theme suppor

It's not a bug, the focus rectangle should appears only after use TAB at least once. I searched on the internet, and found this: The default state for a window is to show all indicators. But as a special trick, the dialog manager will send a WM_UPDATEUISTATE message with UIS_INITIALIZE after the ...

I agree. That wouldn't be good, and it would break existing code.
Therefore Shardik's solution should be applied by Fred internally in PureBasic.

Re: EditorGadget regression

But still, it works with 5.72, so it can be an initialization problem of rich edit in the newer version of the OS. In one of the PB 5.73 beta versions (I don't recall in which one exactly), Fred changed the editor gadget so that it uses msftedit.dll instead of Riched20.dll, see https://www.purebasi...

Re: Transparency regression in 5.73 B4

Does my above code display my icon properly on your system? Yes, it does. That's nice. But as I said: If I compile with different versions, my icon looks different. From item (5) of your Bug Report list, it says (in part): "commands that worked on an earlier version of PureBasic but don't on t...

If this is true, then there is still the question: "What is the chicken, and what is the egg?"
Maybe there is only so little interest in PB for Linux, because it has so many bugs? :-)

Re: Transparency regression in 5.73 B4

It doesn't matter what anyone else shows, sorry. Same source, same icon, but different PureBasic versions. Something broke in the beta. Edited my post to highlight the issue in red. I provided some code and an icon, so that we all can run the same test on our systems. That does matter a lot. Unfort...

Re: Transparency regression in 5.73 B4

No problem here with this icon //edit: image removed using the following code with PB 5.73 beta 4 (x64) on Windows 10. (The 32 bit Windows version of PB 5.73 beta 4 is currently not installed here.) If OpenWindow(0, 100, 100, 245, 105, "ICO test") = 0 End EndIf If LoadImage(0, "test.i...
