That alone has made my day. It's been a long time since such a term has been used to refer to me.
You young whippersnappers, what can I say about your youthful staying power (hehehehe).

Re: Random drag and drop don't resize, even when set to do s

I can't drag ANY images onto it at all - I just get the "Denied" mouse cursor. So I can't even begin to help. Win 10. Which OS are you using? Interesting. I used to have that happen to me after some windows updates and somewhere down the track, another windows update fixed it. windows 10,...

Random drag and drop don't resize, even when set to do so?

Randomly, some images simply won't resize correctly when dropped on the image gadget even though that is what has been set to do so at "Case #PB_Event_GadgetDrop" Most dragged and dropped images do obey that line but some don't and I don't know why. Can anyone see the flaw in my code? ; //...

Re: Which BASICs have been you using in your life?

Locomotive BASIC (cpc 464)
Loved my locomotive basic, just glad I had the 664 with a disk drive and bought a tape player later.

Also loved my Sharp PC-1500 handheld (with 4 pen printer plotter!), the basic on that was fun!

Re: New to PB - questions to clear confusion

Form -> Events-> Code? That's the way I do it, with all the visual designers I have ever tried. Once the form is designed, you should never manually edit it unless you have some strange third-party controls you need to replace a built-in one with but even that is done without touching the form code...

Re: RatingGadget (stars) via CanvasGadget

kenmo/Ryan, don't know if you are still around but I need your help.. I am now using a 49 inch monitor and I've noticed that the pb gadgets scale quite nicely mostly to this monster at it's native resolution with the DPI switch turned (not perfect but they do rescale) on but the rating gadget stars ...

Re: Question about Apple support

It works very well, in my experience. There are some things that don't work, like the Drag and Drop library, but I've found the Network library works fine. I know i had issues with drag and drop on the 64 bit version of pb (Many quirks) but it works just fine here on the latest version of pb that I...

API font colouring to add to existing callback help

I've gone to the limit of my knowledge with this one. At the section marked "; Column 0, Change font to red colour if item marked deleted", i've set the column text colour to red if the item has been marked deleted, If I toggle the item as undeleted, that works too, removes all effects, co...

Re: Worms on the Desktops !

This is funny and cute. Now I'm just waiting for an enterprising indivdual to make a game called "cream" and get it to attack the worms on the desktop.

Everyone knows if you have worms, you need to apply cream!!!

Re: Problem saving data to SQLite Database

Just tested my code again: it works. You may run into an other problem: If you have a ' in your data, you have to escape it with 2 single ' like: dbsyntax = ReplaceString(dbsyntax, "'", "''") If he's not going to use the variable names in this procedure, he may as well just shor...

Re: Using multi-arrays and databases in Purebasic

That's a good suggestion Skywalk. I've been using SqLiteExpert Pro (same sort of thing) for so long that I forgot to mention it.

And apologies for not having the time to add in a proper database example. was hoping the above was enough.

Re: Using multi-arrays and databases in Purebasic

You can use: Result = FirstElement(List()) to get to the first element, Result = LastElement(List()) to get to the last element in the list, Result = NextElement(List()) to get to the next element from your current position, Result = PreviousElement(List()) to get to the previous element in your lis...
