PureBASIC And Amiga OS 4.1

Post by freddix »

Hi All,

did someone tried PureBASIC on an Amiga OS 4.1 (on AmigaNG : AmigaONE, Sam, etc ...) ?

Are there some feedback concerning it ?

Amigans... god I haven't heard that word for a long time... wasn't it Petro Tyschtschenko who "invented" that annoying word for Amiga users? lol.

@freddix: When Amiga was failing as a company (especially towards the end), People like Petro Tyschtschenko, Bill McEwen & Jim Collas started using "Amigan" to fill people with false hope over how the future was bright and fluffy. Well, all I know is that promised future turned into something Brown and smelly and generally found in the bottom of a toilet!

I still love the Amiga as a computer... It still is to this day my favourite system I have ever developed for :). So, I have a deep resentment of the word "Amigan"... It signifies the destruction of Amiga to me..

Thats really great ! I hope to get mine in Jan :)

Tell me what you think ?

The problem developers are having is trying to keep software compatible for AmigaOS 3 68k /Amikit, AmigaOS 4 classic / AmigaOS4 PPC.

Some library structures are AmigaOS4 only. We hope Natami wil be finished for Feb. This can use AmigaOS3/Amikit immediately, but wil have extra 3d chipset hardware for 24bit gfx.

But right now focus should be on AmigaOS4 or Amikit using RTG.

Does Purebasic have a game developer suite ?

+1
Microsoft Visual Basic only lasted 7 short years: 1991 to 1998.
PureBasic: Born in 1998 and still going strong to this very day!
