I am having problems as a new user. The example programs provided will not run. They seem to be for an older version of Pure Basic. Are there any examples that are written in the current version for study?

I am still finding it difficult to use the example programs to learn Pure Basic. These programs provided seem to be filled with items that are no longer valid or where the syntax has changed. It is my personal opinion that this is daunting to a new user and it would be a good idea to be sure that the examples will run with the current version of Pure Basic.

Just out of curiosity, which version of PB are you using and with which OS (win, linux,AmigaOS)? I have PB2.90 on win and have not had any trouble with the examples that's included in the software package.... If you look where you installed PureBasic you should find a directory named 'Examples', under this directory you'll find another directory named 'source' this directory contains examples that is using the availible librarys. All of these examples should work with the distrubution they are bundled with..I am still finding it difficult to use the example programs to learn Pure Basic.
