using gzip and bzip2 with compress/uncompress memory

Hi all,

I was playing around with different compression algorithms, and wanted to try the tar+gzip or tar+bzip2 with compress/uncompress memory, but the documentation doesn't list those as one of the options.
Are they not supported with these functions?
