Hi,

everytime i try to compile some of the samplescripts i get the following output (i tried it on a Suse Linux 8.0):

...
/usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lgtk
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
...

i installed the following:
glib-1.2.8-1.i386.rpm
gtk+-1.2.8-1.i386.rpm
nasm-0.98-1_lib6.i386.rpm
SDL-1.2.0-1.i386.rpm

What i am missing?

Ok, i fixed that problem. Just a buggy GTK installation.
But no i got an gtk error: cant open display

i have to reinstall linux on a new hd, so i cant test it atm. Maybe you need another/newer gfx-card driver? Btw when having problems with the linux version, why not post it into the Genereal Discusion forum to discuse what your error message means
