linux poll #4 Should Linux networking be more flexible?

* Flexible defined:

(1) Peer-ip detection
(2) Connection drop detection by client & server events
(3) receive-string instead of only send-string

(a) more protocol support ie UDP, RPC
(b) RAW, UNIX socket control

The above can only be accomplished by using Lib calls currently, which
directly includes a bypass of the PB networking.
