is there or will there be and IDE for the linux version of PB.
I get so used to the windows version with that nice IDE i miss it under Linux
IDE in linux?
here is where some very talented
programmer will suggest that YOU
code it so everyone can enjoy it!
I am NOT that talented programmer...
...it just seems that's what usually
happens when someone asks a
question like that.
being unskilled in the finer aspects
of PureBASIC and still a newbie
at Linux, that sort of project is
way beyond ME.

So, you're saying, if i suggest that now, that makes me
a talented programmer?
Well then.... why don't you... (just kidding )
I think, there will be a linux ide somewhen, as it is really missing. (Although
every real linux geek has his favourite editor anyway... so i hear )
It is just, that up until now, the focus of the linux development was to,
complete the commandset. (remember, the last linux release (3.51) was
not anywhere near the same windows version)
I guess you'll have to give it some more time.
(unless of course, YOU... ahhh, i'll stop now )

Re: IDE in linux?
I just purchased PureVision's form designer and I noticed it has a Linux design mode. This does not mean you can use it in Linux but it is nice have a design application that only gives you the gadgets that work in Linux.scurrier wrote:is there or will there be and IDE for the linux version of PB. Has anyone tried loading PureVision using Wine under Linux? I will give it a go this weekend.
