Joystick emulation

Has anyone tried to achieve it with PB?
I can do some stuff using PPJoy emulator plus GlovePie scripts but I have no clue how does it sends commands to the virtual joystick.
There's also the vJoy emulator that has it's SDK and some sources but it's c++ and i'm trying to translate it now (with no luck yet though)
so in the meantime I'm asking here in the hope that someone invented the bicycle before me
