Network double explorer files

Post by Kwai chang caine »

Hello at all :D

Someone know a files explorer software, Freeware, USB Portable, who can be running on two machines on the same network.
Connecting between them, (Surely one client, the other server) and can manage files on the other machine, like if we are in the local machine ?

Thanks in advance for your advice 8)

Hello,

I don't know if I really answer the question, but
aeroadmin, anydesk, brynhildr, iperiusremote, realvnc, sharedscreen, supremo, teamviewer, trustviewer, and of course, RDP
Some of these applications are free for personal use and portable.

Hello CAGE

Yes i know RDP softwares and love it 8)

Me in fact, i search really more simple.
A Windows file explorer, with inside the tree of the other machine.
If i drag/drop a file inside, the file is copied on the other machine in the path selected.

In one word, exactely the window of windows network explorer, but without all the security, the shared property so much hard to configure, and without create virtual network drive who need admin right , :|

You run the soft on the machine1, and a server is created
You run a copy of the soft on machine2, it ask the IP of the machine1 and a window appears on each side with the tree of the other machine

Like this you can use this window for create folder, txt, drag/drop file, etc like if this window is a tree of local :D

Hello

Try with PsExec (Sysinternals)
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysint ... ads/psexec
I did not do the test, so I do not guarantee that you will arrive to your ends.

There is not necessarily a need to be an admin to create a shared resource. Anyone can share a resource, as long as they have access to it themselves.

The simple sharing mode (resource/mdp) no longer exists, the client must exist on the server or at least one virtual user to whom security and permissions are assigned on the resource to be shared.
In MS language: security = local rights, Permissions = sharing rights.

From Windows XP, the "client" can connect to a server even using a different personality than the one from which it logged on.

It's easy, reliable, no fuss and won't make sysadmins and antivirus software scream

-- Fr

@Gérard
It's not really what i need, but your tool is very impressive 8)
I don't know it's possible to run an application in other machine without install something on it
Sure in the doc, they say, this tools is using by virus...i understand why :|
Thanks again for this link 8)

@Marc56Us
Hello my friend 8)
I don't know if it's so simple of that, but each time i try to create a network link, or just open an explorer of the other machine with "windows network explorer" there are always a security error somewhere, for me it's a real nightmare

Me i just want a simple tool, always working in all windows, in one click, without permission of this or that, whithout sharing something, without login or password.
Sometime it's again more funny, if i can say that :? , i see the machine in network windows, and when i try to open it, she ask to me a password
Then in all my machine, there are no password of session or other, and this stupid explorer ask a login/password...what password i can write, if i have never enter only one

If you know exactely the same soft than windows network explorer, but with client/server, freeware and portable...

Hello

I'll be you, I'll try with Anydesk
https://anydesk.com/en/or https://anydesk.com/fr/
Free for private use.
Usable in portable mode for the customer and the master.
In your case, to install on all your PC to manage.
Installs a Windows service that allows you to connect to the remote station without anyone behind.
To test to see if it would suit you.

Important information for sharing files on Windows.
All PCs must have a private network profile
If they have a public profile, sharing is impossibe.
All PCs must be in the same workgroup (default)
It is preferable that the same user name exists on all PCs with the same password
The following share names must exist:
ADMIN$, IPC$, C$, (D$, E$,...)
To check whether these share names exist:
WIN + R open Cmd. exe then net share
In the case where they do not exist,
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... in-windows
Replace AutoShareServer with AutoShareWks according to PC
To mount remote disk C: from PC MONPC1, use the following command in a DOS window (cmd.exe)
net use Z: \\MYPC1\C$ (the IP address can be used instead of the name)
If the connection fails, it may be because UAC is active on the PC MONPC1
In this case, you must create or modify a registry key of the MONPC1 PC and restart the Server service of this PC
Open the register with:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Create a LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy (REG_DWORD) value with a value of 1
Stop and restart serveur or server sevices (en | EN)
net stop server + Net start server or
net stop serveur + Net start serveur
or use services.msc
Shares should work on this PC
Do the same on other PCs

Hello Kcc,

Add or change the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy
with a value of 1 also allows to allow PsExec to execute remote commands.
Each time PsExec is used, a PSEXESVC.exe process is created in C:\Windows of the remote PC
A PsExec Service task appears in the task manager of the remote PC
Here is an example with the command cmd.exe
I have 2 PC, EBCAGE on which I will run PsExec and HPCAGE on which I want to take the hand.

Code: Select all

C:\>prompt EBCAGE$s$p$g

EBCAGE C:\>hostname
EBCAGE

EBCAGE C:\>psexec \\HPCAGE -e cmd.exe
