Advertising banner on Purebasic Forum

Post by mk-soft »

I know that advertising is an important source of revenue. But this banner is a bit annoying.

I also observed this additional viewport-fixed banner popping up from the bottom of the side, even if there is a static banner already at the bottom of the page. Especially the white background in combination with a dark theme it is quiet bright and annoying.

Is this additional banner really necessary?

I wonder how much they really make from these ads, whether a few of us could pay enough to "sponsor" the forum and no longer need the ads

I got a mail from adsense telling me it has been automatically optimized, but I can't see the change here. Could you put a screenshot ?

Fred, using desktop browser like Chrome, the banner is in the footer and like before.
But on mobile phone, the ads are very dominant and in your face.

Dow... I just have got a screenshoot where an ad told me to try a penis sheath. If you could filter the thematic too, it could be better...

The PayPal donation button in the customers' area is not enough ?
Fred can see it as "purebasic money", or "forum maintenance money", or "birthday money".
Same thing goes for you making the donation.
One button is enough.
Money is just that wonderful.
