Autocomplete not working

Post by pdwyer »

I was looking at a PB youtube channel (just found out about it in another thread) and noticed auto complete.

Perhaps I turned if off somehow decades ago and the setting stuck but don't recall ever seeing auto-complete on my PC (windows, 32 or 64 bit versions)

I looked in preferences and it seems to be all enabled but I've never seen anything pop-up or suggest anything and I've reinstalled/upgrade plenty of times
I went through and checked all the boxes just now and restarted the IDE but nothing happens (using alpha 3 now)

Is there some other place where this is enabled?

This would be really useful :?

Maybe you shouldn't use the alpha version yet?

Check the latest official version and try if auto-complete works.

found the problem,

"Automatically popup autocomplete otherwise" (last checkbox) was not checked

not an alpha 3 problem

Just in case you don't know:
You can also manually open/etc. the autocompletion window with shortcuts set in Preferences > General > Shortcuts:
- Display the AutoComplete Window
- Insert the selected AutoComplete word
- Close the AutoComplete Window

Glad you solved it. :)
