Thank you for playing. The shadow system is a simple one. Maybe I will find a way to integrate a more realistic shadow system. So the moving objects do not look like floating over the floor .

Game:
Map: Dwarf Mine (under development).
Difficulty level adjusted:
Depending on the opponent type, there is a customized difficulty (opponents can level with the player.)

The following bugs have been fixed:
activated /scareed enemies now behave as intended:
Opponents remain active for an individual time and work out their AI program.

Technology:
many small bugs fixed.
Shadow effect for testing purposes, changed for player object.

Update:
Technology:

Bugfixes: Quest system.
Texts revised by NPC (Silent Level)
Autosave/Checkpoint revised (fewer checkpoints, but more strategic)
Control via (XBOX Series S/X/ONE) gamepad.
PC keyboard is not used (default).

Technology:
Transition between maps now with fade-in effect/fade effect.
Simple water/(mirroring) effect.

Content:
Added more maps.
Now it is possible to collect all 3 dragon flames.
For spiders(boss), the name of the boss is displayed in the HP bar.

The final fight/main quest is not included in this build.
This is still being worked on.

Known errors:
Partial slowdown with high number of enemies.

Certain boss opponents recover depending on the fighting situation.
World: Frost Valley: Snow Effect
Content:
World: Frost Valley first 2 levels available. (not quite finished yet)
For better readability of the map names, a banner is placed under them.

Bugfixes:
Fixed opponent "Allert" function. Opponents are now reacting as intended due to the "Field Of Allert" data.

Boss opponents:
Power bar was mishidden.
Power bar has not always been displayed.

Now the power bar remains visible for boss opponents as soon as it is active.
Energy bar disappears as soon as the boss defeats opponent.
This bugfix allows the player to see at any time whether the boss opponent is healing.

Various minor adjustments to object management.

Under certain conditions, Quest goals could be achieved prematurely.

Gameplay:
New maps:

Playable up to the "Atrium of the Spider King"

Starting with this release, the storage (savefile) file will remain.
For the final level/fight against the Spider King, the game can continue with the current (this build)save point.

A milestone has been reached:
Thorin's quest is finished in content.

The game is playable from start to finish.

More updates of content and bug fixes will follow over time.

Now I wish you a lot of fun with "Thorin's Quest"

PS: Source code and tools are included (as promised).

Source may be used for your own projects, or changes to the code
are allowed and desired.

Keyboard input available again:

Keyboard input and (XBOX) controller

Both input methods are supported again.

Control keyboard:

"SPACE" = Start/Pause

"ARROW KEYS" / "CURSOR KEYS"

to move.

"O" = Inventory

"X" = Axe

"Y" = torch (light)

Arena Modus eingebaut (Alpha Status).

Nach Beendigung der Hauptquest steht die Arena zur Verfügung.

Engine um Patch System erweitert:

Beim Ausführen einer aktuelleren Version des Spieles/der Engine,

werden automatisch, sofern notwendig betroffene ältere Dateien ersetzt/entfernt.

Durch dieses integrierte Patch System, können Maps, besonders "HUB" Welten , erneuert , aktualisiert werden, ohne Fortschritte zu gefährden.

After completing the main quest, the arena will be available.

Engine extended by Patch System:

When running a more recent version of the game/engine,

automatically replaces/removes affected older files, if necessary.

Soon Thorin will travel through the unnamed country with a companion and pass more adventures.

Find treasures, secret entrances, hidden exits,
your companion will be a great help to you.

Sorry,

some objects did not drop needed loot.

Boss Lootboxes did not drop needed keys to enter some maps.

this problem is fixed.

Quest Logic.
this bug is solved.

If you faced this bug, you will have to start the game, with the new build, from the beginning.
