Email provider shutting down, what to do with reg details?

Everything else that doesn't fall into one of the other PB categories.

Email provider shutting down, what to do with reg details?

Post by yoxola »

Hi,

Just got an info that my old email provider is getting shutting down at July, the mailbox I used to register PureBasic many years ago will be gone forever.

I've changed my contact email to prevent the loss, but it seems I can't change the reg email, will that be an issue?

For now and a while I should be able to remember my old box yet, but in case I suddenly forget my reg mail, should I contact the team to modify the details?.
(I may still have to detail when I purchased PB, may need to dig them out)

The registration mail address is just a "user name" and the actual address has no significance.
As I remember correctly you can not change the "user name".

My mail address which I used to register Purebasic does not exist anymore since years now. It never was an issue.
The english grammar is freeware, you can use it freely - But it's not Open Source, i.e. you can not change it or publish it in altered way.

That seems not an issue anyway, I've backup my details on papers, let the old mailbox gone for good now...
