- Basic on KC85/3 (at school)
- AmosBasic (Amiga)
- BlitzBasic (Amiga)
- PureBasic (Windows + MacOS, but remember it's first steps on Amiga )
Furthermore I used AmigaE for a short time. And had (have) some C books/test-kits, but never really tried it...

Yeah I know, but keep in mind ... Leonardo da Vinci was also an autodidact.

Re: Which BASICs have been you using in your life?
i originally wrote this in QuickBasic 4.50 in 1980's
then again when Visual Basic for DOS 1.0 Pro-version came out ( also did a similar version in Visual Basic for Windows 1.0 ProTools-version )
then last time i upgrade the VBDOS Code was 2004
Free , unrestricted , do what you want with program
http://www.mediafire.com/file/y2gc0zcf5 ... S.ZIP/file
179.24KB contains 43 examples files and ETAVBDOS.EXE Dragstrip Simulation Program ( uses Mouse )
this is a DOS .EXE , and in this version you can see what Vehicle runs every 10 Feet distance up to 1320 FT ( every 1 foot in later Pro version up to 5 miles or more )
i started off with GW-Basic
then QBasic
then all various QuickBasic versions from 1.0 to 4.50
then QuickBasic PDS 7.0 and PDS 7.1 ( still have brand new Box )
then VBDOS 1.0 Pro ( still have brand new Box )
Visual Basic 1.0 to 6.0 various Pro or Enterprise versions
PowerBasic versions up to 10.4
to current PureBasic versions
i'm sort of a "Collector" of Programming Languages
i for got i had all these : some TurboPascal or TurboBasic , some rare Basic 6.0's versions ( PDS ? )

TI-994A, I guess you take the crown here
Re: Which BASICs have been you using in your life?
Yes, I must agree. For thirty years I stayed away from the perils of the programming seas, holding on to the safe shores of BASIC. In all honesty, my experience with PureBasic changed all that. It's truly a powerful tool, bridging the gap between the simplicity of BASIC and the complexities of other languages. A programming life preserver of sorts.Fred wrote:TI-994A, I guess you take the crown here

PureBasic
VBA/VBS
GW-Basic/QBasic
Applesoft/Integer Basic
Dartmouth Basic
Backwards... let's me segue to Dartmouth Basic on the Dartmouth Time Sharing System.
In my senility I can still see bits of it. The Teletype 33 ASR terminal, with a big ol' roll of lousy paper, foam cups for the telephone handset and mass storage on punched paper tape.
Yeah baby... 1969
