External Help Menuitem is Missing

Post by blueb »

Is it just me or has the Help menu item choice "External Help" missing in PB5.40 B8 (Win x86) :?:
It is an available choice on version 5.31

Occasionally, I need access to other help files.

This still works in 5.40!

All CHM files in subdirectory "Help" inside purebasic directory will be displayed as "External Help".

Tested with 5.40b8 x64/x86 on Windows 10.

And simple text-files and html-files will work! I think some other formats also supported.

Sorry, No problem. :|

My normal folder is: "C:\PureBasic" (contains: 'Help' sub-folder)

but for the 5.40 beta, I had chosen: "C:\PureBasic54" (contains no 'Help' sub-folder)

Since PureBasic took care of my color preferences, etc. automatically, I just assumed everything should work as before.

I copied my 'Help' folder to the beta folder and all is well.

Thanks
