Post by oogobuk »

Purchased the language In Oct I have yet to get it to work..

Got the error "compiler not loaded

the compiler seems to work (with the -h ) tag in the directory..

Close program, check task manger too, reopen, wait 10 seconds and try again. Maybe also check if there is a specific compiler specified in file/project properties. And as always, try a bare minimum program.

Only had this message when I was too quick to run & debug.

Add your purebasic compiler directory as a 'whitelisted' folder to whatever security software you use and it *should* work.

I used to have the same problem years ago and this fixed it for me.

Did you follow the installation instructions?

I always create an 'Apps' folder under the [username] folder.
There are no problems here.

Had this problem last week too with latest Mint.

IDE was usable, but was not able to compile.
A first check:

start it as root via sudo or su -

If it works, you have a right problem.

On a second PC I followed exactly the istruction in the INSTALL file for Ubuntu 20.x and it worked also as normal user.
