Hello,
One forum member said, " In fact I never saw any marketing about PB anywhere.".
( It is a locked discussion thread: viewtopic.php?p=594754#p594754)
Then I searched on this official PureBasic website. Then I found this webpage: https://www.purebasic.com/showcase.php
Several games' names with screenshots are on the above webpage. No video, URL and further description about these games.
Perhaps the promotion of PureBasic is mainly by word of mouth. I have two suggestions to the staff of PureBasic about the promotion:
1. Setting up an official PureBasic Youtube channel: if the staff of PureBasic discovers good games made by forum members, makes videos for these good games and uploads the videos to the Youtube channel.
2. Setting up an official Itch account:
a. as a direct promotion of PureBasic on the indie game developers' website.
b. hosts game jams yearly. This type of game jam will encourage PureBasic users to participate and make complete games. Some of these finished games should be excellent games. These excellent games will also become a promotion for PureBasic. Moreover, nonusers will be curious about PureBasic when they see the jams.

There was a time PB was on store shelves in select places. Frankly, the best advertisement for PB has been it's competition. When the competition crashes and burns, folks often end up here.
I miss the old days of the community, and the old timers who were so active, good folks then and now. Just different times and priorities for many people.

Best wishes to the PB community. Thank you for the memories.

If you are looking for games, here are a bunch of games written in PureBasic and also converted to SpiderBasic so you don't even have to download them if you want to play them.

Keep in mind these were made over 20 years ago as a way to learn the PB command set without becoming bored.

Hi, the competitions(jams) of some mainstream programming languages. I hope that the staff will understand what I mean and organize annual competitions for PureBasic.
